There are trhee types of presentations:

 

ORAL PRESENTATION

These sessions for oral presentations are scheduled with a number of papers that will permit to dedicate around 15 minutes to the oral presentation of your work and 3 minutes for questions. Please, you will be kindly required to accept the indications of the session chairman concerning time limitations. Usually, some time for 2 or 3 questions will be allowed at the end of each presentation.

 

POSTER PRESENTATION

Posters must be displayed during the specific poster session of the conference on the assigned panels (your poster will be allocated on a specific panel). It will also be a specific session for poster presentations indicated in the scientific program. Posters can occupy a maximum surface of A0 format: 119 cm (height) x 84 cm (width). It is recommended to use large fonts and drawings to make the poster readable at a distance of about 80 cm. It is also advisable to display the posters during the whole duration of the conference session on the assigned panels.

 

VIRTUAL PRESENTATION

Although IWANN organization encourages an active participation in the conference, authors who are unable to attend the conference in person due to funding issues concerning travel expenses may participate with a virtual presentation. Virtual presentation will consist of a recorded video or recording slides with voice-over where authors could present their accepted contribution (around 10-15 minutes). These videos or slides will be available for attendees in our conference website.

 

Following, some information about virtual presentations is clarified:

  1. Acceptance of submission for virtual presentations is based on the same criteria as attending participants.
  2. Authors who would like to make virtual presentations will also be awarded with a certificate and their papers will be considered for publications similar to other participants as if they were present physically.
  3. Authors who would like to make virtual presentations must select Virtual presentation in the Submission Category field within our submission system.
  4. Virtual presentations will be accompanied by a discounted registration fee (See Registration Fees).
  5. Once contribution is accepted, you must send an email to iwann@ugr.es indicating you are interested in virtual presentation.
  6. The number of virtual presentations is limited.

 

DEMO PRESENTATION (Link to a PDF file for DEMO_IWANN_2015)

Demonstrations in IWANN 2015 are intended to introduce new or on-going work on systems and applications related to the topics of the Conference and provide opportunities for authors to interact directly with the conference attendees.
The demonstrations session complements the overall program of the conference with the direct presentation of real-world, applied-and-tested advances trough simulations, or hardware systems including sensors networks, smart phone apps, robotics, etc.).
The demos will be presented in a special demonstration session. At least one of the demo submitters must register for the conference, and perform the demo on site.
Abstracts of accepted demos will be included in the IWANN 2015 conference proceedings, submissions from both industries and universities are encouraged.
Demo submissions will be evaluated on relevance, maturity of the systems to be presented and technical challenges they solve.


SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

Demo proposals must include an extended abstract (at least 3-4 pages in the LNCS template) including all figures and references and could include either a link to the online demo or a video presenting it. Submission should also specify:
  1. What is the research background and application context of the demonstration and the key technology used?
  2. What are the innovative aspects?
  3. What exactly will be demonstrated?
  4. What exactly will a visitor of the demonstration learn?

The authors should also provide a brief sketch of the planned demonstration and specific requirements (power, network, security...). Demo proposals must be submitted electronically with the authors list and the abstract in PDF to the following email: Andreu.catala@upc.edu and also must be submitted to the EasyChair web platform. Please, for submission use the link of the IWANN web page http://iwann.ugr.es/2015/ . At the conference, all accepted demos will be evaluated and considered for the Best Demo Award.
